The latest addition to the Voyages of Discovery fleet has arrived in Portsmouth Harbour ahead of her official naming ceremony on 4 December. MV Voyager (1990/15,271-tonnes) was purchased as Alexander von Humboldt by her new owners back in 2009 and has since undergone an extensive series of upgrades.
With 278 cabins the ship will carry just 550 passengers. Her small size will allow her to call at ports and other destinations not accessible by the much larger mainstream cruise ships of the Carnival and Royal Caribbean brands. Voyager is scheduled to make six calls at Portsmouth International Port during 2013.
