Welcome to the Maritime Photographic
website.
This site features a cross-section of images by multi-award winning photographer, Gary Davies, whose
photography has risen to great heights since starting
out in 1985, which is more than can be said of him!
Extensive worldwide travel has played
a part in achieving more than 5,000 published
pictures. These have appeared in a wide assortment of
industry, media, and enthusiast publications, ranging
from regular use in books, magazines, and calendars
to industry reports and commercial directories. His
images have even illustrated postage stamps and appeared
in a James Bond movie.
In addition to life behind the lens,
Gary has written over 70 published articles on both
photographic and naval matters for a number of international
ship magazines. A frequent contributor to ‘Ships
Monthly’ magazine, he currently compiles the monthly ‘Naval’ news feature.
Based at Lee-on-the-Solent on England’s
south coast, Gary is ably distracted by part-time writer
and photographer, and seemingly full-time weather jinx,
Patsy Collins.
If you have any comments, queries
or observations about the website or Maritime Photographic,
